My home feels lighter, brighter and warmer, PLANITHERM has helped reduced my heating bills this winter.
Mr & Mrs Morgan
The situation
Having recently moved to a new home, the Morgan’s decided that the windows needed upgrading, as the frames were looking tired and there was a lot of internal condensation, which was creating problems around the windows.
Installer visit
The Morgan’s approached a few local installers for a quote. They chose the installer who seemed most knowledgeable and offered them the best solution to the problems they faced - aesthetics and internal condensation.
The solution
After fully understanding Mr and Mrs. Morgan’s requirements, the installer had no hesitation in advising Planitherm Total+, the most energy-efficient glass available.
Planitherm was installed in all their windows, with warm edge spacers and a wood-effect frame which offered the best thermal efficiency the installer could offer.
The result
The improvements solved the internal condensation and ensured no cold-spots around their windows creating a warmer space internally and reducing the amount of heat lost through their windows. This ensured they we’re able to save money by reducing the cost of their heating.
Customer feedback
"Since having Planitherm installed, the difference in the condensation has been huge: now we don't have to continually wipe the windows to be able to see properly out of them and the windows look fab! Our bills have also decreased which has really helped too.”
Mr & Mrs Stevens
The situation
During last winter, Mr. and Mrs. Stevens came to the conclusion that the best way to overcome the bitter weather would be to upgrade their windows. Previously having had single glazed units, they had been forced to turn the heating up to full power for most of the day during the winter months, cranking up their energy bill significantly. They decided to investigate the benefits of double glazing and proceeded to get a quote from a local installer
Installer visit
Mr. and Mrs. Stevens were looking for an installer they could trust to help them right through the process of choosing the glass to the finished installation. They wanted someone who was reliable and experienced, someone they knew they could trust to help them improve their situation and give them the best solution.
The solution
The installer had over 20 years experience, arrived on time and quickly measured up for each window. He understood the situation the Stevens were in, not an uncommon one, and explained to them that Planitherm, the most energy-efficient glass available, would be most suitable solution. The couple were delighted with how the project was handled from the start, and were more than impressed with the end result.
The result
The couple had windows made with Planitherm glass installed and couldn’t be happier with the results. Now, their heating doesn’t need to be on permanently, saving a considerable amount in heating bills. What’s more, Mr. and Mrs. Stevens lowered their CO2 emissions (by reducing energy consumption) thus helping the environment!

Mr & Mrs Pargeter
The situation
When Fiona and Paul Pargeter purchased their new family home in Surrey, they wanted to create a safe and comfortable space for their young family to grow into.
During their first winter in the property, the Pargeters found it difficult to keep their new home warm. Fiona blamed their windows, which were a mix of single and pre-2002 double glazing, with old style aluminium frames, for their failing to provide the comfortable space they wanted for their two young children, and decided that they had to be replaced.
Installer visit
Paul and Fiona searched for installers and quotes using the online Planitherm installer network, and came across local firm Grabex windows.
The solution
The Pargeter's opted to have all their windows replaced with Planitherm glazed units.
The result
Fiona recently contacted her energy board to find out exactly how much energy she had saved since she had the windows installed. With the old windows, the average annual usage was 21,125Kwh, with Planitherm’s energy saving windows usage reduced to 17,410 Kwh. This equates to a 17% reduction in the Pargeter’s annual fuel bill, which is a considerable difference.
Customer feedback
“The installer assessed the property and said that for the best results in terms of safety, warmth and energy efficiency, we should combine Planitherm glass with PVC frames – and this would give us A rated windows,” Fiona explains. “We were really impressed, particularly when it only took three days for all of the windows to be replaced. My husband and I were delighted with the results and instantly noticed a difference”.

Customer feedback
“Since installation, I have noticed that the rooms now feel much more warm and cosy. All rooms fitted with Planitherm are retaining heat for much longer and the new, double glazed windows have also given our home a bit of a facelift – they have made it look new again”.
“Security is a big plus and the new advanced locking system on the windows has been a welcomed feature we didn’t expect. We also found ourselves constantly having to leave towels on the windowsill to mop up excess water from internal condensation, but that’s been eliminated now thanks to Planitherm.
“More people need to know about energy saving measures for the home. The benefits of having A rated windows with Planitherm glass has meant our home has saved a significant amount of money on our energy bills in the last 12 months. As less energy is required to heat a home once it’s fitted, Planitherm glass also helps to reduce the carbon footprint meaning it an environmentally friendly product too”
